"4 Requirements" To Make Money Through Blogging In 2012

0 comments
blogging requirementsNo matter if you are a student, housewife or jobless, blogging is a technical skill that turns a layman into an entrepreneur if applied correctly. We always advise 10th grade students to start learning blogging because by the time they will graduate their tiny blog would have become a revenue generating engine. Blogging is surely an art and it can work only if your strategies are practical and focused. Big internet marketers often launch blogs with the start of each new year so that they could multiply their current income. Creating more blogs is never a big challenge but creating your very first blog is. But before you may start a new blog or take any such decision, we  would like to guide you throughout your journey so that you may emerge as a well established professional blogger.

The Four Fundamental Blogging Requirements

1. Build Up Your Skills

I will write a detailed post on "technical requirements for becoming a pro blogger" and here I will just give some highlights. Normally people who succeed with blogging are
  1. Web Designers
  2. Web developers
  3. Internet Marketers
People with any of the above designations have always turned out a productive resource for blogosphere. As a web designer myself, I could have never enjoyed blogging if I lacked designing skills. A blogger is not just an English writer who publishes links to Google, he is the brain behind the content as well as the blog's solid structure. To win the hearts of readers you must exhibit extra ordinary skills by presenting your posts in a professional way. You must design and maintain the blog regularly. A blog with dull grey look and layout is always a complete failure. You must make use of rich HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript effects to create web objects that may provide the best web interface to your visitors. Keeping a blog clean, easy to navigate and easy to search and read, demands designing skills on behalf of the author. Therefore you don't just need to be an excellent writer to become successful blog author but you must also have basic design skills required to stand out the competition.
You can learn HTML and CSS within a month and start creating amazing objects using Jquery and JavaScript the very next month. I will share all these details in my next post.

2. Understand what Search Engine is

Of course everyone knows what a search engine is but if this is true then why do people fail in driving traffic while on contrary others are entertained with immense traffic significantly? Optimizing your blogs is not the end of the story, there is something without which you can never expect to compete those billion of web pages fed into Google, Yahoo and Bing every single day!
Search engines work on the principle: "Produce Quality Content, Publish it first and get Served Forever!"
1. Produce Quality Content:
This term is highly misinterpreted in blogosphere. Quality content is not just about writing lengthy big paragraphs with a word limit of 700-1000 words. Quality content in accordance with latest Google Panda guidelines stands for publishing unique content which must be fresh, latest and new. This is one reason why blogs like Techcrunch and mashable are so successful. They act more like news feeders. Search engines look eagerly for blogs that produce content relevant to the current time, happenings around the world, trends in technology and on going seasonal occasions.
We could have published this post without adding the word 2012 in the title but this single numeric value plays wonders in search engine results page (SERP).
2. Publish it first:
Never wait for someone else to publish a news if you heard it first. Always share tutorials and posts on latest developments.
For example: As soon as people heard about Google+, thousands of tutorials were published the very next day. This is how internet has become, it never waits for anything.
3. Get Served Forever:
One of the things that I practically experienced with search engines especially Google is that if you are the first one to break a news or share it online, Google will direct most of the relevant organic traffic towards you. We are still being served with valuable traffic Alhamdulillah for breaking the following news:
  • Facebook Video Calling
  • How To Join Google+?
  • Undo Timeline

Note that news here means "Sharing it first"

3. Act like a Journalist

What does Journalist does? Of course his job is to keep himself informed with everything. You must subscribe Giant technology corporate blogs and sites for updates in the world of social media and online media or at least visit these sites once a day. What I do is visiting my favorite technology blogs daily and I also use Alexa toolbar which shares interesting headlines across the globe. You can create an igoogle homepage and add RSS feeds of blogs related to your niche so that you may remain updated with latest happenings.

4. Publish Multiple Posts Per Day

If you are posting just twice per week and expecting revenue, then its time that you must open you eyes and wake up from these failed tactics. Read the following detailed tutorial:
            Publish Several Posts Per Day To Boost Traffic
This is the magic tip I recommend to all. There is nothing that can build your blogging career overnight except this strategy of post frequency. You must read the tutorial carefully to understand this important demand of pro blogging.

So will you launch a blog in 2012?

After having read the four important technical requirements needed to turn out as a speaking blogger, do you think you can start a new blog now?
I would like to share an interesting news here, we are soon going to launch a new blog in February 2012. The niche is based on Affiliate Marketing and Make Money Online. Hope it will be a valuable resource of learning for students (especially) and people who are fed up with their jobs.   The blog will be hosted on Wordpress in order to add a different flavor to our network. I just hope this tiny post proves helpful in guiding you to the right blogging spirit. Peace and blessings pals! :)

Top 5 Ways to get Free One Way Backlinks to your site

0 comments
One way backlinks are very critical to any website success. The more one way backlinks pointing to your site, the more your Google Pagerank and the more amount of traffic you will get. This should also increase your sales,etc.
But the thing is.. getting the right and quality one way backlinks from high pagerank sites is not an easy task, and in this article, we'll find out some of the best ways to get free one way backlinks:

1. Try to write as much quality content as you can... that will encourage the readers to link to your site. The more useful, informative content you post, the more likely people are to link it. But, this method can take a while to really pay off because like all the new websites, you don't get much traffic.

2. Write quality articles and submit them to top article directories like ezinearticles and goarticles. The advantage in this is, you'll not only get a backlink from high pagerank directories, but also you'll find that your articles are used on other people's sites with a backlink to your site.

3. Participate in forums,discussion boards that are related to your website's niche and add a link to your site in the signature. Make sure that you write quality posts, don't spam. This will also help you get some decent traffic to your site.

4. There is absolutely nothing wrong to get a backlink from a related blog post you decide to comment on. This is one of the effective way of one way link building especially if you comment often on blogs. Comment on blogs related to your niche with a link back to your site as your signature.. and Again, make sure you never spam.

5. Submit your site link to major, well known web directories. Getting listed in directories related to your site not only bring you tons of targetted traffic, but will also improve your search engine rankings. Some of the popular directories to get listed in are DMOZ directory and Yahoo directory. You can submit your link to both paid and free directories and they worth your time.

Easy Ways To Get Others To Share Your Blog Posts

0 comments
With hundreds of millions of websites on the Internet producing billions of pages of content, it is getting harder to capture the eyeballs of interested readers. Much like the glut of advertising clamoring for the attention of potential customers, there has to be a clear plan of attack when it comes to finding new and varied people to consume ones content.
Blog Post Sharing Tips Techniques
The tool chest available to blog post writers is already full and practically bulging at its seams. While some of those tools can be a little confusing, most have wisely been designed for ease of use, power in distribution, and effectiveness in attracting the attention of the readers most likely to enjoy the content.
When thinking of easy ways to get the word out and having others share a blog post once it has been published, we should really start the conversation with the platform the post content is published on.
Content management systems, like WordPress for instance, have easy to use tools built in which make broadcasting a notice of post publication very easy. If using the services at WordPress.com, everything is in ones account waiting to be set up. Simply enter a Twitter user name, and/or a Facebook account, follow the authorization and security approvals, and in no time, all future published content gets a notification sent to those social media networks.
Even if one is self-hosting a WordPress installation, there are plugins which will provide the same functionality. The great thing about this approach to broadcasting the new publishing of post content is once its set up, it can be forgotten. All of ones friends and followers immediately see a tweet or wall posting that new content is ready for their consumption.
And WordPress is not the only CMS with these features. Most of the leading applications have some sort of similar built-in or add-on features that provide for easy broadcasting of the new blog post.
The post author can also install easy to use, click-able buttons for readers to share with everyone in their social networks as well. By adding buttons for Digg, Delicious, Stumble Upon, and wide number of other social media sites, the content owner provides easy, one click access to spread the news. This virtual word of mouth marketing allows the blog post to come to the attention of ever wider numbers of people otherwise outside of the original authors sphere of influence.
For those readers who might not be quite so socially inclined, having an “email this” button after the blog post content is a familiar way to allow them to share the post with one or more persons in their address book.
Understanding how ones audience communicates will help in the choices the author needs to provide their readers. If texting is a predominant channel of ones audience, why not add a “text this link” feature to the blog and make it easy to send out the post link to someone else’s smart phone?
Instant messaging, text messaging, email, social media are all effective online blog post sharing techniques. Don’t forget about the oldest but goodest, actual word of mouth communications. Keep the post title short, and an effective, short website address is one of the most used ways people can share news of new blog content.
The easier one makes getting the word out, the more readers will find their way to the content. Exponential growth should happen from this point forward providing the content warrants the interest of others.

How To Make Your Blog Post More Valuable?

0 comments
As bloggers, we all know that the ultimate goal of every blog post is that it should deliver value to the readers. So it’s should be very important that we learn to create valuable articles. Learning how to make your blog post valuable is not a daunting task and it can be done just by following few tips. The following tips will help you to make your blog post more valuable.
Valuable Blog Post Rich Blogger Guide
1. Put the reader first:
The purpose of writing is clear, sometimes persuasive, communication. It is not about you or your clever ideas. If you write to impress, you will distract the reader from the content. Good writing is like a store window. It should be clean and clear, providing an unobstructed view of the contents within.
2. Organize your thoughts:
You don’t need a detailed outline for most writing. But you do need to know what you want to say before you say it. If you’re comfortable with the sort of outline you learned in school, use it. Otherwise, simply jot down the important points you want to make and arrange them in the order you want to make them. Eliminate any ideas that are not directly related to these points.
3. Use short paragraphs:
Look at any newspaper and notice how short the paragraphs are. That’s done to make reading easier since our brains take in information better when ideas are broken into small chunks. In ordinary writing, each paragraph develops one idea and includes many sentences. But inblogging, the style is less formal and paragraphs may be as short as a single sentence or even a single word.
4. Use short sentences:
You should keep sentences short for the same reason you keep paragraphs short: they’re easier to read and understand. Each sentence should have one simple thought. More than that creates complexity and invites confusion.
5. Use simple words:
Since your purpose is to communicate and not impress, simple words work better than big ones. Write “get” instead of “procure.” Write “use” rather than “utilize.” Use the longer words only if your meaning is so precise there is no simpler word to use.
6. Be clear:
This may be the most important rule of all. Without clarity, your writing fails on every level. You achieve clarity when you accurately communicate the meaning in your head to the head of your reader. That’s difficult. Look at your writing with an objective eye. Consider what might be misunderstood and rewrite it. Find what is irrelevant and delete it. Notice what is missing and insert it.
If you want to learn more insightful blogging skills, I would recommend you to read Rich Blogger Guide. I have found this guide highly useful & valuable, which imparts you very essential information to become a high earning blogger.

4 Viral Facebook Strategies You Must Use On Your Blog

0 comments
There is no doubt about it, Facebook is becoming one of the key trends in the internet marketing and blogging communities. However, how many of us really know how to use it effectively?
First of all, let me say that I am in no way a Facebook expert. In fact, the social network itself is still relatively new and is growing and changing so fast that I doubt anyone can really be considered a true authority on the subject.
That said, I’d like to share with you 4 Facebook strategies that an increasing number of high profile bloggers are using to great effect…
Facebook Share 2 Credits

1. Like/Share Button On All Posts

This first strategy is really a no-brainer and can be accomplished in a matter of minutes with one of the various free plugins that are available from the WordPress library. Personally, I use Digg Digg (by Yong Mook Kim) on my blog which allows various social media icons to be added in strategic places in your posts. Enough said…

2. Add Facebook Share To Your Thank You Page

Firstly, I hope that you have an email opt-in form and that you are actively building an email list on your blog? If not then it is highly advisable that you do this. Even if you’re unfortunate enough to experience a “Google Slap” in the future, with an email list you can still reach your audience.
Ok, lecture over!
After visitors sign up for your free gift or newsletter they get sent to what is known as a “thank you” page which asks them to confirm their email address. Usually, this simply contains a link back to your main site, but with Facebook you have the opportunity to send your subscriber list viral!
This can be achieved by offering a free gift, for example an ebook or video, on your thank you page in return for the visitor pressing a Facebook Share button. Each time the button is clicked the person’s Facebook friends are alerted and consequently more people are likely to visit your blog.
Clearly, if you’re free gifts are enticing enough then it is possible for your opt-ins (and blog traffic) to go viral here as more and more people go through this process! There are a number of pieces of software that you can install to do this, one of which is Cloud Flood which was created by Glen Allsopp of ViperChill.

3. Encourage Readers To Like/Share

One thing I’ve been guilty of in the past is not actually engaging with my audience enough. This is especially important when it comes to making that all important call to action at the end of your post.
Just as it is a great idea to encourage your readers to leave comments on your posts, it is also vital that you promote your Like and Share buttons with statements such as “If you enjoyed this post then click the Like/Share button to let me know!”.

4. Add Like Enticement To Your Facebook Landing Page

This is a similar concept to the thank you page strategy above. However, this time the action all takes place on Facebook itself. It is a simple task to set up a Facebook landing page – the place where people arrive at when they visit your Facebook page – which offers a free gift (possibly the same one that is offered on your thank you page!) in return for clicking Like.

Conclusion

The great thing about all these strategies is that once they are in place on your blog the positive effects that occur are only likely to increase going forward as Facebook grows towards 1 billion users (perhaps in 2011?) and the network of friends between users becomes more developed.

How to Wrap AdSense Ads Around and Inline Beside Blogger Post Content

0 comments
When you look to the top left corner of this article, there is a Google AdSense ads unit block that has a style that is aligned inline beside and wrapped the article body (only on single post view). This format of layout is considered and proofed to be able to generate higher CTR (click through rate) for AdSense ads, directly increasing the revenue publisher earned. The new Blogger service with widget-based XML template allows authors at best to insert AdSense ad blocks in between blog posts by using AdSense or HTML/JavaScript page elements, but not inline within and wrap around blog post itself.

Here’s the trick and hack on how to put AdSense ads in within and beside of Blogger.com blog post body, and has the content wraps around the ads to make the ads look like part of the content. Coupled with using ad colors which blend the borderless ads to the blog overall color scheme, and choosing bigger ad format such as 336×280 large rectangle or 300×250 rectangle will definite optimize placement of AdSense ads, increase ads click thru rate and improve publishers income. Beside, the AdSense ads put in by this trick will also be shown and displayed in the blog main page, or when individual blog post content page is visited.

   1. Login to Blogger account.
   2. At Blogger Dashboard, click on Settings link listed behind “Manage” for the blog that you want to enable to show AdSense ads between posts.
   3. Click on Template tab, and then click on Edit HTML sub-tab link to open Blogger HTML code template editor to edit the contents of your template.

   4. Backup a copy of your template by click on Download Full Template link, in case it’s is needed be uploaded to Blogger server to recover the template in the event of mistake or corruption.

Blogger Download Full Template

   5. Click to tick the Expand Widget Templates checkbox.

Blogger Expand Widget Templates

   6. Seach for the following line in the new Blogger template HTML code in the text box:

      <data:post.body/>
      or
      <p><data:post.body/></p>

   7. Append the following lines of code into the template BEFORE the line of <data:post.body/> located above:

      Parsed Google AdSense Ad Code (guide to parse the HTML code of AdSense JavaScript with escape character)

<div class='post-body entry-content'>
<div style="float: left;">
Your Adsense Coed Here
</div>
<data:post.body/&gt;

      Note the above code will align AdSense ad block to the left. You can also make it make it float to the right, but change the “float: left;” to “float: right;” (some user reported that you may need to use only single quote (‘) instead of double quote (“) for it to work, i.e. ‘float: left’ and not “float: left”).

      Note that you can also make the ads appear only on single post view.
   8. Click on SAVE TEMPLATE button when done.

If the alignment of your blog layout is not good, you can try to add the code above directly after the following line in the Blogger widget template:

<div class=’post-header-line-1′/>

The above trick may work to add ad code wrap beside the post content in Blogger from other advertising networks too, such as AdBrite, BlogAds, Chitika, Tribal Fusion, ValueClick, and etc, in case you can’t use AdSense for reason such as account banned

Add Meta Tags To Each Blogger Post

0 comments
It's pretty obvious that every one who blogs would love to receive more visitors. So, this post basically provides a simple customization by which you can increase your traffic. It improves the SEO of your blog. Although many bloggers would have added the meta tags to their blog, at least one fourth of them would have missed a piece of code which makes a lot of difference when compared to the other blogs. This line is simply a meta tag representing each blogger post rather than the blog as a whole.

I assume that you have already added meta tags for your blogger blog. If that is not the case, then you need to view this post namely, "Add Title Tags To Your Blogger Blog" before you proceed with this post. If you had completed the previous step, then follow the following steps.

1. Navigate to Design->Edit HTML. As usual, create a back up of your template before you make any changes to the template. Once the back up is done, proceed to step 2.
2. Search for the following piece of code in your template.
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
3. Paste the following piece of code just below the line mentioned in step 2.
<meta expr:content='data:blog.pageName' name='description'/>
4. That's all folks!!! Your blog is ready to get a little more hits than before.

So, what does this code do with my blog? To keep it very simple, assume that a person searches your blog on any search engine, say Google, then he/she would see a description written by you beneath the name of your blog as shown in the picture below. When it comes to a post page, that is, if he/she searches for some content, say "Add meta tags to each blogger post", then the post title would be the meta description that appears on the post page.
Meta-Tag-ResultsDo you wonder what benefit your blog would get by making this small customization? The answer is very simple, better search engine ranking which in turn means more traffic. Another advantage would be like this, if your blog and another blog has got the same traffic and if you had installed this tag it means you have a better edge over him and I'm pretty sure you will receive more hits than the other blog.

I hope the above customization will help your blog rank better than before in the search engines. I tried this on my blog and I felt it was pretty effective. So, I hope even you feel the same. Please, feel free to share your views via comments!!!

Show Widgets Only in Homepage or in Post Pages

0 comments
Once you activate any widget, in your blog, it will be displayed in all the pages by default, including your homepage.
But sometimes, we do want to show some widgets only on Homepage or only for the individual posts pages, or only in a specific page, the coding is quite simple, but you need to customize the widget through the "Edit HTML" link in your "Layout" section.

Follow these steps:
Create any widget, and place it where-ever you want, and save the template. Check if it is working (should be displayed in all the pages). Remember to give a TITLE to it, like Archives/BlogRoll/Maps/Clock, anything unique.

Now go to "Edit HTML" page.
Click/mark "Expand Widget Templates"
Then find for that unique Title (by searching through CTRL+F method)
It will be something like this:

    <b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
    <b:includable id='main'>
    <!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
    <b:if cond='data:title != ""'>
    <h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
    </b:if>
    <div class='widget-content'>
    <data:content/>
    </div>

    <b:include name='quickedit'/>
    </b:includable>
    </b:widget>

Now tweak this as follows

CASE #1
To SHOW the code/widget only in HomePage

    <b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
    <b:includable id='main'>
    <b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
    <!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
    <b:if cond='data:title != ""'>
    <h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
    </b:if>
    <div class='widget-content'>
    <data:content/>
    </div>

    <b:include name='quickedit'/>
    </b:if>
    </b:includable>
    </b:widget>

CASE #2
To SHOW the widget in "All Posts", but NOT in HomePage

    <b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
    <b:includable id='main'>
    <b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
    <!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
    <b:if cond='data:title != ""'>
    <h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
    </b:if>
    <div class='widget-content'>
    <data:content/>
    </div>

    <b:include name='quickedit'/>
    </b:if>
    </b:includable>
    </b:widget>

CASE #3
To SHOW the widget in any particular page

    <b:widget id='HTML3' locked='false' title='UNIQUE WORD OR TITLE HERE' type='HTML'>
    <b:includable id='main'>
    <b:if cond='data:blog.url == "SPECIFIC_BLOG_POST_URL"'>
    <!-- only display title if it's non-empty -->
    <b:if cond='data:title != ""'>
    <h2 class='title'><data:title/></h2>
    </b:if>
    <div class='widget-content'>
    <data:content/>
    </div>

    <b:include name='quickedit'/>
    </b:if>
    </b:includable>
    </b:widget>

Add those code lines in red color, as per your requirement.

CASE #4
To HIDE a widget ONLY in a particular page/post, and to display it in all other pages of your blog, use this code (shown below is only the code in RED from the previous code):

    ...
    ...
    <b:if cond='data:blog.url != "SPECIFIC_BLOG_POST_URL"'>
    ...
    ...
    ...
    </b:if>
    ...
    ...

CASE #5
To SHOW widgets only in Archive Pages

    ...
    ...
    <b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "archive"'>

<!-- Related Posts Code Start-->

<!--Remove--><b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<div id='related-posts'>
<b:loop values='data:post.labels' var='label'>

<b:if cond='data:label.isLast != "true"'>
</b:if>
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>

<script expr:src='"/feeds/posts/default/-/" + data:label.name + "?alt=json-in-script&callback=related_results_labels&max-results=6"' type='text/javascript'/></b:if></b:loop><a href='http://www.bloggerplugins.org/2009/08/related-posts-for-blogger-widget.html'><img style="border: 0" alt="Related Posts Widget for Blogger" src="http://image.bloggerplugins.org/blogger-widgets.png" /></a>

var maxresults=5;
removeRelatedDuplicates(); printRelatedLabels("<data:post.url/>");
</script>
