Many a times it happens that we are not able to open and read docx files. In such cases it is advisable to have a converter to convert docx to doc files. This conversion can be done in two ways. Either the conversion can be online that is by uploading and downloading from Google Docs or by downloading another free word processor, OpenOffice.
OpenOffice.org 3.0 is compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS. It can open files with .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, etc. extensions in addition to .doc; .xls, .ppt, etc. extensions. OpenOffice.org also enables users to interact with other users using Microsoft Office.
So it is high time to switch to OpenOffice.org which provides the services provided by Microsoft Office sans the services which are never used.
