- Share a folder from your Linux host . i.e. /home/username/Downloads by
clicking on Devices Pull-down and select Shared Folders in VirtualBox.
- Add a Machine folder with Full Access to /home/username/Downloads
- From Windows Guest VM. Note: click on Right CTRL button and right-click mouse button to release control of the mouse to the host PC.
- Click on Devices, Install Guest Additions. A question will ask you to download a .iso and install to a /home/username/... folder. Download and then an install will start on the Windows guest VM.
- Reboot the Guest Windows VM.
- Then, go to My Computer, click on Folders if necessary, and go to the
- My Network Places section.
-- Entire Network > Virtualbox shared Folders.
- Alternatively you could mount a drive letter by using
net use x: \\vboxsvr\share (with applicable share name)
