Password Recovery for Microsoft Word Documents


When creating a document in Microsoft Word, you are able to put a password on the document to protect its content from other users. However, if you forget your password, it results in you being unable to open your Word document. To locate your password, open the document in Notepad and attempt to locate the password within the code.

Instructions
1. Locate the Microsoft Word document within your documents.
2. Right-click the document file with the mouse. Move the cursor down to the "Open with" option on the drop-down menu.
3. Select "Other programs" and choose to open the document with Notepad.
4. Search through the first few lines of the document text in Notepad to locate a word that looks like a word you would use as a password for your document.
5. Open your document in Microsoft Word. Type the word into the password field and click "OK" to open your Word document.
